Thinking Of Mexico

Hello Again Readers,

Sometimes life in the USA can be stressful! So fast and so furious. Seems like there is never enough time. So here I sit, on our little composting toilet, thinking about a simpler life. It has taken more than a decade to build 'The Bird House' but worth it to us! Here are a few photos of some of the construction and of the road going up the hill. I have a lot of photos and, if you like, I will post more.

  1. What a beautiful view and a very interesting home! How wonderful it must be to spend time there. Are you able to go every year and for how long? Will you ever move there permantley? Do you have caretakers looking after it when you aren't there?

I'd love to see it and I'd love to see more pictures.

Thank you so much for sharing.

  3. Thanks for the compliments!Yes, it is wonderful to spend time there, and yes, we try to go every year for the winter. No easy thing with costs going up but it is worth the economic sacrifice here in the states. Someday we hope to live there fall, winter and spring and return here to Oregon in the sweet, sweet summer. Jose is our caretaker and I will post of photo of him presently. Our home is open to all travelers of good will and we often have folks stay there. Consider yourself invited!!
